Responsibilities:
Lead MAD Security’s SOC strategy, operations, and team to deliver scalable, high-performance, and compliant cybersecurity services.
Define and continuously mature SOC capabilities including workflows, automation, and threat detection.
Develop and manage a high-performing SOC team through coaching, delegation, and skill development.
Establish and track KPIs to ensure exceptional service delivery and operational excellence.
Oversee end-to-end incident response operations and ensure timely escalation and resolution.
Manage client service delivery, acting as an escalation point and enhancing customer engagement.
Collaborate with executive leadership to communicate SOC performance and strategic value.
Maintain compliance with NIST 800-171, DFARS, and CMMC requirements, including audit readiness and regulatory reporting.
Drive cross-functional project execution and continuous process improvement across the SOC, compliance, and engineering teams.
Represent the SOC in executive briefings, client meetings, and security governance activities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related technical field preferred (or equivalent experience).
U.S. Citizenship required by Federal law.
8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, including 3+ years in a SOC leadership role.
Proven success in managing and scaling SOC operations, optimizing workflows, and leading high-performing teams.
Expertise with SIEM/XDR platforms, SOC automation, and SOAR technologies.
In-depth knowledge of NIST 800-171, DFARS, and CMMC compliance requirements.
Experience overseeing incident response and implementing operational KPIs for SOC performance.
Demonstrated ability to deliver executive-level security briefings and influence organizational strategy.
Occasional travel may be required.
