Raytheon Australia, a leading defence technology provider, is seeking an ILS Training Developer to join our Integrated Logistics Support team. This role supports the Australian Defence Air Traffic System (ADATS) Capability Assurance Program, a critical initiative modernising air traffic control capabilities across RAAF sites nationwide. This program ensures continued effective military and civilian air traffic control operations into the future by implementing next-generation system upgrades.

The role
As the ILS Training Developer, you will design and implement comprehensive training solutions enabling the successful transition to the modernised systems. Working within our ILS team, youll develop training programs that bridge technical complexity with practical operational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and document training requirements for operators and maintainers across multiple RAAF sites.
- Design and develop training materials covering system operations, maintenance procedures, and site-specific configurations.
- Create practical exercises and assessment tools ensuring operational readiness across all user groups.
- Coordinate and deliver training across multiple RAAF sites in alignment with system installation schedules.
- Maintain and update training documentation throughout the system lifecycle, ensuring continued effectiveness into the future.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
Essential qualities were seeking:
- University degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years experience in training development, preferably in technical or defence environments.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse complex systems and translate technical information into effective training materials.
- Strong communication skills with experience presenting technical content to diverse audiences.
- Understanding of integrated logistics support principles and training development methodologies.
Desirable attributes:
- Experience in defence technology or military aviation environments.
- Knowledge of air traffic control systems or aviation operations.
- Previous experience developing training for large-scale system implementations.
