What you need to be successful in the role:
- J.D. degree and licensed to practice law in Illinois or eligible to apply to become licensed in Illinois U.S. citizenship is required
- U.S. person as defined by 22 C.F.R. Part 120.14
- Five years of combined law firm and/or in-house legal experience.
- High integrity and an unyielding commitment to compliance and the law.
- Sound understanding of the aerospace industry and the material, legal concerns surrounding the industry.
- Self-motivated; ability to work without direction and exercise discretion and independent judgment to resolve complex problems.
- Able to make an appropriate impact at all levels of employee and management groups and build working relationships at all levels.
- Good training and presentation skills; ability to articulate complex legal issues and solutions in a language that others can understand, accept and implement.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills; can efficiently analyze complex data or information efficiently to identify critical issues that need to be addressed.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills; able to delegate implementation details appropriately, maintain focus on larger issues, and meet critical deadlines.
- Proactive, well-organized, and motivated for high-level performance. Able to exercise creative thought and judgment on a broad range of compliance matters, and conceive, implement and monitor processes and procedures.
- Excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Compensation:
The anticipated salary range for this position is $175,000 to $210,000 annually. This range reflects the base salary for candidates who meet the requirements of the role, including experience, education, and location.
