How youll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) Seeking a dynamic, collaborative and high-performing Manager, Acquisitions responsible for executing a global acquisitions and leasing strategy. Deliver planned annual volume and financial targets including ad hoc asset request in support of meeting dynamic operational demands. This role is primarily responsible for managing the direct third-party negotiations in support of commercial agreements including but not limited to, Purchase, Lease Consignment, Sale, Non-Disclosure and General Terms Agreements. Strong collaboration skills are a must and able to effectively communicate across a wide deal team. Other duties include; managing the contract(s) priorities and process, reporting on the engine lease portfolio, plan performance and global asset availability Key responsibilities:Execute global asset acquisition and leasing strategy to deliver planned savings and accretive margin contribution in support of TechOps business unitsOriginate surplus Aircraft, Airframes, Engines, Landing Gear, APU and inventories in support of TechOps plan and operational support. Assist in the assessment and valuation of assets in collaboration with TechOps functional teamsNegotiate commercial terms with sellers including price, delivery, asset conditions, inspection requirements and risk mitigationPeriodically report on overall spanet and asset availability to support informed decision-making, manage weekly/monthly performance reporting requirements; identify deviations from plan and opportunities for recovery and/or corrective actionForge partnerships within Delta, Delta Subsidiaries and Alliance partners with a focus on maximizing savings and support revenue and margin that benefits all partiesDevelop acquisition and commercial initiatives leveraging TechOps, MRO, DMS capabilities where possible; Ensure we leverage core strengths for each businessDevelop and draft presentations and approval papers in collaboration with stakeholders Use Salesforce.com and/or seek improvements in technology or process to manage leads, capture spanet intelligence, track performance and engagement plans
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications) Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required Minimum of 5-years’ experience in the aviation industry requiredExperience with and understanding of technical aspects of airframes, aircraft engines and able to conduct research and analysisSignificant knowledge of external spanets supporting procurement activitiesPossess a strong business acumen including financial, problem solving and analyticsProficient in the use of Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPointConsistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data. Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles. Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency. Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
