Job SummaryThis role involves performing welding and mechanical repairs on forging tooling, manufacturing equipment, and hydraulic systems. The technician will also support fabrication tasks, adhere to safety protocols, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities- Perform repairs on forging tooling, manufacturing equipment, forklifts, and hydraulic systems (high/low pressure).
- Weld and fabricate components, including hot work pieces.
- Maintain and operate CFW equipment and tools.
- Complete 6S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, Safety) tasks daily/weekly.
- Report all incidents, injuries, and near misses immediately.
- Submit regular improvement ideas.
- Support cross-departmental goals and initiatives.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)- Adherence to safety protocols.
- Safe handling of parts to prevent damage to people, parts, or property.
- Timely and accurate documentation and record-keeping.
- Performs repairs on forging tooling, repairs to manufacturing and forklift equipment, hydraulic pipe repairs (high and low pressure) and fabrications
- Repairs tooling and equipment by welding
- Complete 6S tasks on a daily/weekly basis
- Must be comfortable welding on hot work pieces
- Must report all incidents, injuries and near misses immediately
- Submit ideas for improvement on a regular basis
- Support all department(s) to meet facility goals

- Timely and accurate record keeping
Education:
- High school diploma or GED is a plus, not required
- Welder certification is required
Requirements and Qualifications:
- 3+ years’ experience in manufacturing
- Must be proficient in stick (SMAW), Flux cored (FCAW), and MIG (GMAW) welding in all positions. Arc gouging experience a plus. TIG (GTAW) welding optional
- Must have welding certificate at the time of hire
- Must be able to work while standing for long periods of time
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English
- Able to move/lift up to 35lbs, may not exceed per EHS Policies
- Able to operate and maintain CFW equipment’s/tools
