What are your contributions to the team?
- Researching, understanding, developing, and disseminating information to help create an aircraft design tool facilitating the analysis of some key aspects of engine, systems and airframe integration.
- Identifying capabilities, features and requirements of the future tool.
- Preparing a development plan, including the tool architecture.
- Coding various portions of the tool.
- Enhancing and/or re-purposing conceptual aircraft modeling and analysis tools in CATIA V5 or Siemens NX, Star CCM+, and other software platforms.
- Generating aircraft components and models for test and validation of the tool.
How to thrive in this role?
- You are well versed in Aircraft structures and systems.
- You are well versed in 3D & 2D modeling and CAD programming.
- You are well versed in MS Office, particularly MS Excel.
- Experience in Catia V5 and/or Siemens NX is essential, along with knowledge of parametric modeling. VBA and macro programing is an asset.
- Programming experience is essential; such as Python, C, C++, Visual Basic or Java.
- Experience with Star CCM+ is an asset.
