KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The New Pacific Airlines Aircraft Chief Engineer is responsible for creating and providing all appropriate Company reference material to the maintenance department to facilitate proper maintenance, inspection of aircraft alterations and repairs, and compliance with engineering standards. The Aircraft Chief Engineer also supports structural repairs, manages Dent Maps, and assists in system troubleshooting and Engineering Change Orders for the Boeing 757 and De Havilland Dash 8 aircraft fleets. Other responsibilities aligned with New Pacific’s Core Values include but are not limited to:
- Upholding safety by producing accurate engineering documentation and supporting proactive maintenance through data analysis.
- Demonstrating commitment through collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to improve safety, compliance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Acting with integrity when coordinating engineering feedback and reporting trends or discrepancies to the Directors of Maintenance and Quality.
- Embodying the spirit of connectedness by serving as a liaison between AMTs and OEM Engineering, ensuring timely and effective communication.
- Showing reliability by maintaining aircraft dent maps, revising ICAs and task cards, and managing engineering staff performance and development.
- Promoting commitment by engaging respectfully with technicians, vendors, and departments to support safe, efficient, and compliant operations.
