Join Honeywell Aerospace as a Sr. Advanced Manufacturing Engineer specializing in Heat Transfer product lines. You will lead advanced manufacturing initiatives, integrate automation, and deploy Industry 4.0/5.0 technologies to optimize processes for heat exchangers and thermal management systems. This role requires strong technical expertise in welding and metallurgy, leadership, and bilingual communication skills to collaborate across global teams and local operations.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement advanced manufacturing processes for heat exchangers and thermal systems.
- Lead automation projects for machining, brazing, welding, and assembly processes.
- Deploy smart factory solutions, IoT sensors, and data analytics for predictive maintenance and process control.
- Provide technical support for welding parameter settings, enhancing quality and efficiency.
- Integrate and optimize robotic welding systems, ensuring efficient programming and consistent weld quality.
- Develop and validate Welding Procedures (WPS) in compliance with AWS, ASME, and ISO standards.
- Conduct failure analysis, metallurgical testing, and material selection for heat transfer components.
- Perform welding inspection and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT).
- Train operators and technical personnel in manual and automated welding equipment.
- Troubleshoot welding issues, adjust parameters, and analyze defects.
- Drive Lean and Six Sigma initiatives for process optimization.
- Maintain calibration services for welding power sources and precision measuring instruments.
Qualifications
Must have
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, Materials, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering (master’s preferred).
- Over 10 years of experience in the metalworking industry, with extensive training in aluminum and steel metallurgy.
- Expertise in welding processes: GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, TIG, MIG, Brazing
- Proven experience in robotic/automated welding systems and Industry 4.0/5.0 technologies.
- Skilled in failure analysis, material selection, quality control, and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of AWS, ASME, and ISO welding standards.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, precision measuring instruments, and cobots/controllers.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM, ERP systems, and digital manufacturing tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
- Proficient in technical English required.
- Certifications Preferred: AWS Certified, Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, PMP.
