The Shop Manager/Avionics Technician is responsible for day-to-day hangar upkeep, as well as providing information to existing and potential customers regarding avionics installations.   The Manager/Technician performs transponder checks and pitot/static leak checks (IFR certs) using relevant test equipment.  Troubleshooting tasks are a large part of the job.  The Manager/Technician must know where and how to find information for troubleshooting and diagnostics.   As a Garmin dealer, the Manager/Technician should be familiar with GFC600 Autopilot installations and G500/600TXi systems.   A working knowledge of instrument repair is a plus.  The Manager will be working with at least one other technician.  With the help of the owner and bookkeeper in Kenai, the Anchorage Manager is responsible for making sure customers are billed properly for time and equipment.  

• Must be able to communicate (oral and written) in the English language. 
• The job requires some heavy lifting and standing, kneeling or squatting for extended periods of time.
