Job Summary

An innovative aerospace and space technology company is seeking an Environmental Test Technician to support environmental qualification and validation testing for advanced aerospace hardware and systems. This role is heavily focused on hands-on testing experience, specifically environmental testing such as vibration, thermal, and related qualification testing activities.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience setting up, executing, monitoring, and documenting environmental tests in a regulated engineering or aerospace environment. Candidates with strong mechanical aptitude and experience working alongside test engineers are highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Perform environmental testing on aerospace and electromechanical hardware
• Set up and operate vibration, thermal, and environmental test equipment
• Support thermal cycling, thermal vacuum, vibration, shock, and related qualification testing
• Install sensors, accelerometers, thermocouples, and instrumentation for data collection
• Monitor test execution and troubleshoot issues during testing activities
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, test procedures, and specifications
• Document test results and assist with generating test reports
• Support test article preparation, fixturing, and equipment maintenance
• Work closely with engineering teams to ensure accurate and successful test execution
• Maintain compliance with safety and quality standards in a laboratory/test environment

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on environmental testing experience
• Experience with vibration testing and/or thermal testing
• Familiarity with environmental test labs and test equipment
• Ability to work from engineering drawings and test procedures
• Experience with instrumentation, data acquisition systems, or sensor setup
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical skills
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced aerospace or high-tech environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace, defense, or space industry experience
• Experience supporting qualification or acceptance testing
• Familiarity with thermal vacuum (TVAC), shock, or HALT/HASS testing
• Experience using electrodynamic shaker systems or thermal chambers
• Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, mechanical technology, or related field
