Job Overview:

Aerotek Aviation LLC is currently sub-contracted to and supporting the MV-22 Tiltrotor Maintenance program at VMMT-204 at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River, North Carolina. This is a long term position that where candidates will initially begin as an Aerotek Aviation LLC Contractor and after a period of 6 -12 months will transfer over to full-time employees of our client AVMAC LLC who are the Prime Contractor holders for this program. Pay and benefits will remain unchanged once candidates have transferred over. This is a long term job opportunity with opportunity for advancement within the program / AVMAC LLCs organization.

Job Description:

Avionics Technicians will provide Organizational Level Maintenance (O-Level Maintenance) for the MV-22 Tiltrotor Aircraft at VMMT-204 at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) New River, North Carolina. Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of all avionics and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions in Aircraft communications/navigation/electrical systems.
  • Install, remove, inspect, test, maintain, and repair systems, components, and ancillary equipment of installed Aircraft Communications/Navigation/Electrical Systems to include Deceptive Electronic Countermeasures (DECM) Systems at the Organizational Maintenance Activity (OMA) level.
  • Perform pre and post flight checks and inspections.
  • Communicate with pilots, maintenance control and USMC personnel to resolve issues.
  • Work with tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, and micrometers.
  • Work off of technical publications and receive technical guidance, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician, will occasionally be required to lead teams through more complex aircraft relevant tasks
  • Make entries in aircraft logs and records.
  • Prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects and be familiar with maintenance documentation management.

Pay Rate:

  • $35.36 - $38.66 an hour (yearly base pay increases are evaluated every November - typical increase is 3 - 5 if awarded)

Position Requirements:

1) Active Secret Clearance Required

2) V-22 Avionics Experience Required

3) 4+ years of Aircraft Maintenance Experience Required

4) CDI and/or CDQAR qualifications are necessary for top end of pay scale.

5) Ideal Candidate is an individual who held a USMC MOS of 6326 working on V-22 Aircraft.

Additional Information:

  • Not Tools Required
  • Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift, Monday - Friday or Monday - Thursday.
    • 1st Shift Start Times 0700 or 0800
    • 2nd Shift Start Time 1400 or 1500

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.36 - $38.66/hr.
